Terms of service

These terms govern Edgar for ChatGPT at chatgpt.edgarwrites.ai, operated by Folksoft Oy, Business ID 3123171-7, Malagankatu 6 B, 00220 Helsinki, Finland. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

Edgar helps you write, rewrite, proofread, learn a writing style, and adapt content for social channels. With an account you can save drafts and preferences. Publishing and scheduling require a paid plan and a supported connected social account. This service is separate from the original Edgar app; its accounts, data, and subscriptions are separate.

Your account

You must be at least 16, provide accurate information, and protect access to your email account. Connect only accounts you own or are authorized to manage. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through Edgar or its ChatGPT connection.

Subscriptions and billing

Free writing is subject to usage limits. Pro is USD 29 per month and renews automatically until cancelled. It includes up to five connected accounts and 100 publication requests per calendar month, including up to 30 for X. Checkout shows the amount due and any applicable taxes. Your ChatGPT subscription does not include an Edgar subscription.

Stripe processes payments. Manage payment details, invoices, and cancellation in Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period. Partial periods are not refunded except where required by law. Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect for an existing subscription.

Publication limits reset on the first of each month in UTC. A publication or scheduling request reserves usage; cancelled and failed requests count. If paid access expires, publishing and scheduling are unavailable and provider connections may be removed. Manage any outstanding schedules before ending your plan.

Your content and instructions

You retain your rights in the content you provide and generated posts delivered to you, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. You grant us permission to process your content to provide the service. You must have permission to use supplied text, writing samples, media, and connected accounts. Edgar’s branding and software remain our property.

AI output may contain mistakes. Review generated content before publishing, including its facts, language, destination, and timing. An explicit instruction to publish or schedule authorizes that action with the supplied or resolved account and time. Writing a draft alone does not authorize publication.

Scheduling and third-party services

Scheduling instructs our publishing provider to deliver a post at a future time. A confirmed schedule is not confirmation of publication. Delivery depends on provider availability, valid account permissions, media requirements, and the social network. We do not guarantee reach, engagement, uninterrupted access, or delivery at an exact second.

ChatGPT, payment services, publishing providers, and social networks have their own terms. Disconnecting ChatGPT does not cancel schedules. Cancel a scheduled post before it begins publishing; a post already published may need to be removed on the destination network.

Acceptable use

Do not use Edgar unlawfully, impersonate another person, infringe intellectual property or privacy, distribute spam, attempt unauthorized access, evade usage limits, or interfere with the service. We may suspend access for violations or to protect the service and its users.

Privacy

Our Privacy policy explains the information we process, our service providers, and how to exercise your data rights. To close your account, contact edgar@edgarwrites.ai.

Liability and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without warranties, we exclude indirect or consequential losses, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or removes mandatory consumer rights.

Changes, governing law, and contact

We may update these terms and will provide notice of material changes. Finnish law applies, subject to mandatory protections in your country of residence. Disputes may be brought before the competent courts in Helsinki, without restricting any venue rights consumers have by law. Contact legal@edgarwrites.ai for questions about these terms.
